We have the knowledge and expertise to install and maintain solar panels that work in conjunction with traditional fuels like Oilheat to deliver optimum comfort while using less fossil fuel and reducing your carbon footprint. We also deliver propane and install a variety of propane appliances.

The reliable, efficient and eco-friendly solar products can be integrated into any existing heating and/or hot water system. A solar collector, energy storage tank, solar panels and all controls are quickly and easily installed in the customer's home or business.

Solar energy is an ideal fuel. It is free, the supply is unlimited, and there are no emissions. C.K. Smith's Alternative Energy & Services Division installs solar collectors and related equipment that convert more than 90% of the incoming radiation to heat. A typical solar system fulfills 75 percent of the hot water needs for a family of four, with a corresponding reduction in the use of traditional fuels. Some homeowners may have access to tax credits that can offset the cost of installation.

Smith employs a team of licensed plumbers, many of whom specialize in heating applications. Installing a solar system and integrating it with existing heat and hot water systems is complex work, and you need a team that understands the equipment and technology. We perform all plumbing ourselves, and you are assured that your installation will conform to manufacturer's specifications and deliver optimal performance and efficiency.
